Acupuncture For Stress Relief & Emotional Balance

Traditional Chinese Medicine for emotional balance, pain relief and energetic flow

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that uses fine needles to stimulate specific points along the body's meridians — energetic pathways that carry Qi, or life force.

When Qi becomes stagnant or blocked, it can lead to both physical discomfort and emotional distress. Acupuncture helps to restore flow, clear blockages, and bring the body back into balance.

A good analogy? Think of a traffic jam: until the blockage is cleared, nothing flows. Acupuncture is the body’s way of clearing that energetic ‘jam.’

What Acupuncture Can Help With

In my practice, I treat physical conditions, but specialise in acupuncture for emotional wellbeing.

Common conditions I support include:

  • Headaches, migraines, and muscular tension

  • Anxiety, stress, and burnout

  • Insomnia and fatigue

  • Hormonal shifts and emotional imbalance

What Happens in a Session?

Each session begins with a thoughtful consultation where we discuss your physical and emotional health. I’ll also inspect your tongue and check your pulses, which help me understand how energy is moving in your body.

Once the treatment begins:

  • Fine needles are placed at specific points

  • You rest quietly for 20–30 minutes

  • You may feel deeply relaxed, even fall asleep

Many clients describe a sensation of "resetting" — as if the nervous system lets go.

Complementary Therapies I May Use

To enhance the benefits of acupuncture, I may include:

Cupping therapy session on back

Cupping Therapy

Cupping uses suction to draw stagnation (Qi or blood) to the surface, promoting circulation and pain relief. It may leave circular marks that fade within days.

Aromatherapy

Essential oils can be used to soothe your emotions and deepen relaxation. This gentle enhancement supports both your physical and emotional state.

Ear acupuncture treatment needles

The ear reflects the whole body in Chinese Medicine. Tiny needles or ear seeds are applied to specific points—helping ease stress, improve balance, and give you ongoing support between sessions.

Everything is guided by your comfort and ne
