My name is Georgina and I am a Holistic Therapist with a particular interest in emotional and psycho-spiritual wellbeing.
I am a qualified Acupuncturist, Psychotherapist and Complementary Healthcare Practitioner and I integrate all my trainings to provide truly holistic care for my clients.
I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association.
"I have a toolbox of skills that I bring to my treatments which draw on my experience with Bodywork, Acupuncture and counselling; I also use Flower Remedies, techniques from Systematic Kinesiology and can offer advice on diet and nutrition."
My career in Complementary and Alternative Therapies began in the late 1990’s when I lived in Taiwan and began seeing a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine for ill health; I was a very typical 20 something, living a life of late nights and bad food choices - burning the candle at both ends and wondering why I wasn't feeling 100%. My Doctor took a look at my tongue and recoiled in horror, telling me there was too much 'Cold' in my body (the look on her face told me this was not good) and gave me a stern talking to, insisting I should be asleep by 11pm (so my Liver could relax) and to stop eating greasy, market food (my 'Pulses' were showing that my digestive system was not happy at all). I had no idea what any of this really meant, but what she told me piqued my interest. After leaving Taiwan I went to Northern Thailand to learn Thai Massage, a style of Bodywork which uses the same meridian theory as does Chinese medicine. Returning to UK in 2001 I enrolled on a Complementary Therapy course in London, which gave me a foundation in various styles of western massage, as well as formal qualifications in Reflexology and Diet and Nutrition theory. I subsequently set up a practice at Planta Therapy Clinic in Crystal Palace, which marked the start of a profound journey into therapies and energy work.

During this time I trained in other subjects, including Advanced Massage, Systematic Kinesiology, Colon Hydrotherapy and Flower Remedies. I also spent two years studying psycho-spiritual development with the School of Insight and Intuition in Richmond, which showed me that my interest in Bodywork went far, far beyond the physical. I began to realise that many of my clients weren't suffering with 'just' bad backs and digestive issues, but were presenting with very real emotional upsets. This marked the start of an entirely new direction for both myself and my practice, one which many of my clients joined me on, changing the course of their own lives in the process.

In 2009 I began a Master's degree in Psychotherapy and Healing Practice with Middlesex University and around this time became a volunteer with Samaritans; I also started counselling children and adolescents in schools with Kids Company and Place 2 Be, which led me to work with young adults with mental health issues. I completed my Masters degree in 2011.
Following the birth of my son in 2012, I moved to Brasil for 10 years, during which time I completed a post-grad diploma in Acupuncture and continued refining my therapies practice within the Brazilian culture.
Alongside of my clinic work, I am a volunteer Acupuncturist at St Josephs Hospice in Bethnal Green.
